During the Tianbao era of the Tang Dynasty, a storm brews over Bashu.

The Tianji Guard stumbles upon an ancient ruin, where General Cui Yuan dons a bronze mask radiating strange Qi, loses his mind, and slaughters his comrades before vanishing without a trace. Suspended by the Imperial Court, the survivors work covertly to clear their names.

Months later, the masked Xuanxin Order rises in Bashu, winning people over with strange Qi techniques. Awakening in their lair, Shangguan Shuo is rescued by Tianji Guard member Li Ling. With no memory, his only clues are a fish token bearing his name and a strange mask. Guided by these relics, he sets out to recover his memories—uncovering the Order’s hidden scheme and awakening a millennium-old subterranean city.

Characters

Shangguan Shuo

A young man who awakens in the South Lake Ruins with fragmented memories and no knowledge of his past. From a fish token engraved with the name “Shangguan Shuo,” he learns his name and the fact that he is a member of the Tianji Guard—but not who he truly is.

Gentle and easygoing by nature, he values freedom and ease above all else. Yet when he draws his blade, there is not a moment of hesitation. He believes that the truth can only be found by seeing things through with his own hands.

Together with Li Ling, who rescued him, Shangguan Shuo begins investigating the Xuanxin Order while searching for his lost past. A strange voice that echoes in his dreams and a bronze mask that has half-transformed into gold are the only clues he has.

    • In towns, players can switch between day and night, with different events, obtainable items, and NPC interactions depending on the time of day.
